His real name was Matthew Tapunu’u Anoaʻi. He was Roman’s older brother. Matthew was trained at his father’s training center. He attended Escambia High School, and like his brother Roman, was a great fan of football and thought about making career in this area. After school he worked in nightclubs, and finally decided to make career of a wrestler.
He fought on the rings under various names and teamed up with many other famous wrestlers. His career lasted till 2014, when he was diagnosed with heart disorder. He died from it three years later. Rosey was a father of three kids, whom he had with his ex-wife Amanda Vandeberg Schall.

It’s not a secret that Roman Reigns comes from a famous wrestling family, and almost each man from his breed was able to wrestle. His father, Sika Anoaʻi, used to be famous as a wrestler, and he is a cousin of another celebrity – The Rock.
Roman whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoaʻi didn’t want to follow family traditions and began to make career in another area. He started to play football in a high school and continued practicing this kind of sports in Georgia Tech. He was a star of the University football team and even was its captain during the last year.
In 2007 Roman turned into a professional player. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings, but was released soon. The same thing happened after his signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2008 he participated in several games as a player of Edmonton Eskimos. He quit his career of a football player that very year.
