A Boogie wit da Hoodie, born Artist Julius Dubose, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from the Bronx. He gained attention with the mixtape “Artist” and the single “My Shit,” then released albums including “The Bigger Artist,” “Hoodie SZN,” “Artist 2.0,” “Me vs. Myself” and “Better Off Alone.”
He released the project “Before Artistry” in 2026. A Boogie and former partner Ella Rodriguez share two children: daughter Melody Valentine Dubose, born in 2017, and son Artist Dubose Jr., born in 2020. His current relationship status has not been publicly confirmed.
Interesting and fun facts
He calls himself “the Hip Hop Version of Michael Jackson”. Artist thinks that if Jackson had been a rapper, he would sound like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie himself. The rapper sampled two well-known songs from Michael’s repertoire – “Remember the Time” and “You Rock My World”.
