Curtis is a successful businessman. Since 1985 he runs a rope manufacturing company, which sells high-quality ropes all over the USA and abroad.

The mother of Roman and his younger brother Dale, she shared her time between caring about her family and working at Atwood Rope Mfg.
Roman’s mother Sue passed away unexpectedly in 2019. She fell from the scooter heavily, which killed her. Although Sue was a rare guest on his son’s videos, Atwood fans liked her and considered her the heart of the family.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio in the family of late Dwight William Christman Jr and his wife Patricia Sanderson. She had two sisters, Donna (who passed away) and Kathleen.
Sue was working by her husband’s side at Atwood Rope Mfg. She had been married to Curtis since 1980 till her death. She had 2 sons with him. At the moment of her death, Sue had 5 grandchildren, 3 from Roman’s side and 2 from Dale’s one. Her grandson Knox was born 2 years later from her departure.
Roman’s mother was a religious person. She was an active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Like her son Roman said in one of his podcasts, “she was an alley cat before her marriage, but she turned into an angel, who helped anyone”. In addition to her family duties and work at the rope factory, she was an alternative medicine enthusiast.
