In each interview Boban thanks to his wife for her love and care. They two met many years ago (circa in 2010, according to Milica’s Instagram) at a birthday party of a common friend. They tied a knot in July 2014 and had two weddings – the first one in Mexico on July 3 and ten days later in their home country Serbia. Since then Boban tells that 13 is a lucky number for him.
Now the couple brings up two sons.

Milica and Boban’s love was confirmed by the birth of two sons – Vuk and Petar. Vuk is the oldest one. He was born in 2011, three years before his parents’ official marriage.
Vuk lives with his parents in Dallas, USA as of now. He is a primary school pupil. His father doesn’t see Vuk very often, but he tries to spend as much time as possible with his son.
The basketball star tells that he loves to be a parent and loves the time he spends with Vuk and his brother. He tries to make the boy’s childhood happy.

In December 2015 the Marjanović family became even bigger – Milica gave birth to their second son. The boy was named Petar. “His birth made my wife and me even closer”, Boban told in one of his interviews.
Although Petar spends a lot of time in the USA, his parents want him to know Serbian traditions. Every summer they spend in Belgrade, which is their constant address, where they return when Boban is not busy with his games (as the athlete confessed in the media).
As of now, Boban and Milica don’t plan to have another baby, but the sports star doesn’t exclude the possibility to welcome the third son to his family several years later. “Thus they will be able to play as a team at home”, he jokes.

Smilja Marjanović (mother)
In each of his interviews Boban thanks to his mom for everything she did for him. The woman resides in Serbia but comes to her son’s American home from time to time. She cooks the favorite Boban’s dish – apple strudel with jam.
Smilja comes from a middle-class family. During many years she was a caring wife of Mr. Marjanović, Boban’s father. The family raised two kids. Now Smilja spends a lot of time with her grandchildren – she has four of them.

Boban has never publicized the name of his father, nevertheless, he mentioned Mr. Marjanović in many of his interviews, which means they are very close.
Boban’s father is not as tall as his son (actually, nobody in his family is). But he loved basketball and taught his son to play this game. Boban started to train at the age of 11 – at first by his father, and then by a professional coach. After that, he got a phone call from Hemofarm, a professional Serbian basketball club, where he spent happy 8 years – according to Boban’s words.
The basketball star tells that his father and mother created a perfectly happy childhood for him. They both worked a lot and tried to provide their kids with everything necessary. He tries to be an as good father for his sons as his dad was for him.
