Roger McAuliffe (father)
Having Irish roots, Roger used to be an advertising copywriter before deciding that he wanted to be an author and journalist. Being a director of McAuliffe Creative, he wrote several books, including literary satire Phantom Author and What Kid is That?. Moreover, Roger is a graphic artist and cartoonist.
It was Roger who encouraged Callan to pursue acting and, obviously, it was he who inspired the celebrity to try his hand at writing.
Claudia Keech (mother)
Claudia has Irish ancestry but resides in Australia. She worked in the PR departments of many magazines, including Who Weekly, Time Magazine, Australian Style, Men’s Health and Marie Claire. Currently, the woman is CEO at Australian American Media and an owner of Mother Inc online magazine. By the way, the birth of Callan inspired her to create the latter to discuss parenting issues. In 2009, Claudia was honored with the Medal of the Order of Australia.
Claudia seems to have divorced Roger as she states that she raised her son, whom she considers to be a well-mannered guy, as a single mother. Moreover, the woman tells that she is managing McAuliffe’s acting career. Maybe that’s why Keech befriended her son’s Flipped co-star Madeline Carroll. The young actress even visited her in Sydney.

Bio
Callan McAuliffe got involved in acting in childhood and made a breakthrough after starring in 2010 film Flipped. He proceeded with roles in I Am Number Four, The Great Gatsby, Beneath the Harvest Sky, Robot Overlords, Hacker and Summer Night. Callan is also famed for portraying Alden in The Walking Dead television series. Additionally, he wrote a novel titled The Hill Ghost.
